I celebrate you
Not because it's your birthday
Nor a holiday of import
But because I love you
You are important to my life

It's your unbirthday
Just another day, but
A day to celebrate life
While we are still living
So I can tell you now to you
Not to your coffin

Please don't think I'm odd
That I take this opportunity
I've lost so many I love
Over the years
My grandfathers
Some uncles
Dear, dear friends

All who I meet
Influence me
Help me grow
And learn
And love
This includes you

So before we are separated
I want you to know
That I love you, and
I celebrate you.
